OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFTY ACT
Ontario Regulation 33/12
Ontario Regulation 33/12 sets out the Office of the Employer Advisor (OEA’s and OWA’s) jurisdiction to represent employers charged with a reprisal complaint under the OHSA. This is firmly set at under 50 workers. It appears the OEA’s have no discretion to make an exception as they did under the WSIA.
The OEA is currently working on their procedures and getting ready to take up this new responsibility on April 1st. On or about that day they will have information on their website to inform employers about their new mandate. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact;
