Andrew Wilkins B.Sc.

Fluently bilingual, Andrew Wilkins received a Bachelor of Science in physics with a minor in management from McGill University in 1997. He spent nine years in the telecommunications and electronics industries while developing skills and experience in procurement, business development and sales.

In March 2006, Mr. Wilkins joined Matrix Energy Inc., one of Canada’s leading wholesale distributors and integrators of renewable energy products / systems. Originally hired to increase sales with OEM and Government clients, Mr. Wilkins has
succeeded and since taken on added responsibility in managing US Dealers and Commercial accounts under the Ontario Power Authority’s FIT Program. In cooperation with Matrix engineering and installation partners, he has developed numerous Photovoltaic projects including for the City of Toronto, Alouette Homes, Mechron Power Systems and the Government of Quebec, amongst others.

Renewable Energy training includes completion of Introduction to Photovoltaics from the Quebec Alternative Energy School (EEAQ), as well as Commercial Photovoltaic Systems Design from SMA Solar Academy.

Mr. Wilkins has given a number of presentations on renewable energy, including to Construction Specifications Canada, Bell Center, HOK Architects, SNC Lavalin and numerous other architectural and engineering firms.
